This page covers Section 5.8, the item-by-item schematic checklist. Return to Minimum System, Power & Clock, the first of the three Schematic Design Guidelines pages.
Each table below covers one functional block of the schematic. The Applies To column narrows a check point to a specific SF32LB52x power variant or silicon revision where the general "All variants" scope doesn't hold.
“Required” means the applicable check must be reviewed; it does not require fitting every peripheral listed. Review conditional checks only when the corresponding circuit or function is present. Keep the source’s Required/Optional categories and distinguish recommendations from mandatory limits.
If the screen must turn on immediately when a charger is connected, the internal charger is not recommended; prefer an external charger IC with power-path management
520/3/5/7 only
Required
3
The internal charger may be used only if it is acceptable to require charging to 3.6 V before software powers on the screen
520/3/5/7 only
Required
4
An OVP device with an integrated LDO output (e.g. LP5305AQVF) is recommended: LDO output 4.7–5.4 V, load capability ≥0.5 A, over-current-protection trip ≥0.7 A
520/3/5/7 only
Required
5
If an OVP device has adjustable OVLO, use divider resistors with 1% tolerance and keep V_OVLO_TH error below 3%; both the minimum and maximum V_OVP values must lie within 5.15–5.55 V. The source labels 5.15 V as the charger's maximum input voltage and 5.55 V as the 52x charger's input upper limit; see the discrepancy note below
520/3/5/7 only
Required
6
If the on-chip charger is unused, VBUS may be left unconnected and its capacitor omitted — but VBAT then loses its output capability; use a 1 uF external capacitor on VBAT in this case
520/3/5/7 only
Required
7
Battery-voltage sensing: the chip already routes an internal GPADC channel to VBAT (or VBATS) — do not additionally route VBAT to a GPADC pin

52B/D/E/G/J
Required
OVP thresholds are not VBUS operating limits
The source checklist gives 5.15–5.55 V for adjustable-OVLO selection in row 5, while row 1 reproduces the workbook's 4.6–5.5 V VBUS check. Do not interpret 5.55 V as an allowed continuous voltage at VBUS. The power-system discussion explains the source differences and quotes a different OVP-selection range from the application note. Confirm the thresholds and operating limits with SiFli for the selected device before accepting the design.
Source and scope of VBUS values
Electrical Specification-A3 lists a 4.5–5.5 V VBUS supply range. The battery-variant application note gives 4.6–5.5 V in its supply table and requires at least 4.6 V at the VBUS pin during maximum charging current. These values have different contexts; account for supply tolerance and voltage drop when checking the minimum voltage at the chip.

Pin-24 scope in the source checklist
Capacitor row 3 names SF32LB520/3/5/7 in its check-point text, but its Applies To column specifies only 523/5/7. Rows 5 and 6 instead identify SF32LB520 pin 24 as PA21 and pin 23 as VCC. This table follows the narrower applicability stated for row 3; confirm the pinout of the exact part before review approval.

Storage power-switch pin discrepancy
This table preserves the checklist workbook's PA11 entry for external-Flash switching on SF32LB520/3/5/7. Under this project's source priority, the higher-priority OpenSiFli application guides and schematic-design guide govern and specify PA21 for boot-storage power switching; use PA21 as the source-supported design basis and do not adopt PA11 solely from the lower-priority workbook. The workbook does not clarify whether PA11 is a separate board-level enable or a pin-assignment conflict. Confirm the exact net and variant with SiFli before release.

The source spreadsheet lists “52A/52D.” The variants described in the SF32LB52x Hardware Design Guide are SF32LB52B/D/E/G/J; the spreadsheet’s “52A” label does not identify one of those variants. Confirm the exact device and datasheet before applying this row; do not automatically replace “52A” with another model. ↩
The source spreadsheet leaves the category blank for this row. It is reproduced as “Not specified in source”; this is not an inferred Required or Optional classification. Confirm applicability and the release criterion for the selected device. ↩
