This Privacy Policy explains how uForge (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, transfers internationally, and protects your personal information when you visit and use this website (uforge.io and its subdomains), as well as the rights you have under applicable law. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently, in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable ePrivacy rules. Please read this policy in full; if you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us at any time.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

uForge is an overseas distribution channel for SiFli SF32 development boards, modules, and accompanying SDKs. With respect to personal information collected through this website, uForge acts as the data controller and determines the purposes and means of processing.

Privacy contact: email privacy@uforge.io, or reach us through the “Contact” page on this website. We maintain a designated privacy contact to handle your requests and questions.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the uForge website and interactions made through it (such as browsing and submitting the contact/inquiry form). This website may contain links to third-party sites or resources (such as vendor documentation, code repositories, and social platforms) that have their own independent privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and we recommend you review them separately.

3. Personal Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide

When you contact us through the contact/inquiry form or by email, we collect the information you submit, typically including:

• Identity and contact information: name, email address, company/organization, phone number, and country or region;

• Communication content: the inquiry, requirements, and other information you provide in your message or email.

3.2 Information collected automatically

Subject to your consent to analytics, we automatically collect device and usage information through cookies and similar technologies, and through server logs, such as: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, approximate geographic location (based on IP), referring page/source, the pages you view and time spent, clicks and interactions, and identifiers generated by cookies.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data as defined by the GDPR (such as race, religion, health, or biometric information), and we ask that you not include such information in forms.

We process your personal information only for specific, explicit, and legitimate purposes, with the following GDPR legal bases:

• To respond to your inquiries, sales, and technical-support requests and communicate with you — basis: necessity to respond to your request (contract/pre-contractual steps) and our legitimate interests in operating our business;

• To maintain, secure, and improve the operation, safety, and content of the website — basis: our legitimate interests;

• To analyze website usage and optimize our product presentation and services — basis: your consent;

• To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful government or judicial requests — basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal information, nor do we use it for purposes incompatible with those above.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device; we also use similar technologies such as browser local storage. We group them into the following two categories:

Used to keep the website functioning and secure — for example: recording your choice on the cookie banner (local-storage key uforge-cookie-consent), remembering your theme preference (uforge-theme), and securing admin sign-in. These are necessary to provide the service you request and therefore do not require your consent.

Only after you explicitly select “Accept” in the consent banner do we load the following analytics services and their cookies. If you “Reject”, we do not load any analytics scripts or write related cookies:

• Google Analytics (GA4, provided by Google): uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container ID> to distinguish users and sessions and measure usage, with a retention period of up to about 2 years;

• Baidu Analytics (provided by Baidu): uses cookies such as Hm_lvt_*, Hm_lpvt_*, and HMACCOUNT to measure visits and sources.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the site footer; withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. You may also block or delete cookies via your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality.

6. How We Share Information (Third Parties and Service Providers)

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only where necessary with processors that provide services to us; these providers may only process data on our instructions, for the purposes we specify, and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. The main categories we use include:

• Website hosting and content delivery: Vercel;

• Database services: Neon (PostgreSQL);

• Storage, CDN, and DNS: Cloudflare (including R2 object storage);

• Email services: Zoho (to handle correspondence with you);

• Website analytics (only after your consent): Google (Google Analytics) and Baidu (Baidu Analytics).

In addition, we may disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of uForge, our users, or the public.

7. International Data Transfers

Because we and some of the providers above are located in different countries (for example, the United States and China), your personal information may be transferred to and processed and stored outside your country or region (including outside the European Economic Area). Where required by law, we put in place appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or reliance on a relevant adequacy decision, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or for a longer period where required by applicable law. Specifically: inquiry and communication records are kept until the related communication is complete and reasonable business and compliance needs are met; analytics data is retained according to each analytics provider’s retention settings; cookies are retained according to their respective lifespans. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize the data; you may also request deletion (see “Your Rights” below).

9. Your Rights

Under applicable law (including the GDPR), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Information and access: to know about and obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you;

• Rectification: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;

• Erasure (“right to be forgotten”): to request deletion of your data where conditions are met;

• Restriction: to request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances;

• Objection: to object, based on your particular situation, to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;

• Data portability: to receive the data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or to have it transferred;

• Withdraw consent: for processing based on consent (such as analytics), you may withdraw at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@uforge.io; to protect your account, we may first need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction (in the EU, the relevant Data Protection Authority).

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including HTTPS encryption for data in transit and access controls and hardened sign-in for the admin. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, and we cannot promise 100% security.

11. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

We do not make decisions producing legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

12. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for businesses and professional users and is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe we may have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it as required by law.

13. Region-Specific Rights (Where Applicable)

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know about and delete the personal information we collect, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, nor do we “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, please contact us as described above.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We review this policy at least annually and update it when material changes occur. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date; we will indicate material changes by appropriate means.

15. Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please email us at privacy@uforge.io, or reach us through the “Contact” page on this website.
